Anpr issues

Need help. Read a lot about how to approach ANPR. Note suggestion to write directly to owner of land and ask for copies of contract etc. and ignore ANPR. Have got their FINAL INVOICE. Struggling to find the land owner (referred to as proprietor in the 'don't park here' sign). Have a company I think the land is registered with. I wrote to them recorded delivery and also notify ANPR I'm doing the same...
stating they don't have the authority to charge £100 as its not a genuine pre estimate of loss..... Also stated I had not received any reply to an earlier (not recorded) letter.

Today I received a notice of intent

Please any positive advice (PS I initially posted in wrong place dohh)

  • If this is ANPR Ltd, then it's safe to simply laugh at the letters they send you. They are the most inept joke of a PPC. You're quite safe.

There are plenty of ANPR Ltd threads over on PePiPoo which will give you a better idea of how this outfit operates.

    Here are some links:

And all of these were listed in the first item from a Google search - so Google some more (or search on PePiPoo) if you need any more information/reassurance about our Trev's gang! :)
Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .

On pepipoo, the regular poster 'bama' said he would show his bits in JohnLewis' window if much maligned PPC losers, 'ANPR Ltd' actually take a case to a court hearing! I take it this is the Hargreaves crew (rejoicing in the misleading name 'H&S Litigation') easily Googled and covered in the links already shown by Umkomaas.

Have a laugh! Here are some links from this forum now:

Then complain about them to the BPA, Trading Standards, your MP, the DVLA, the landowners, whoever you want to after learning from the pepipoo and MSE threads linked in all your replies.

Just confirm if you will, that this is 'ANPR Ltd'? The joke PPC of the forums?
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

  • Thanks for responses and links. I received back a letter from ANPR telling me why the ticket was issued and whilst being sympathetic they were enforcinging the terms & conditions stated on signage, ie, £100 charge for wrongly parking. Then the normal... reconsider claim to appeal loss of discount etc .. write again if you want to appeal and we'll give you details. By the way the 30 days appeal period already lapsed. Also got letter from Agents for land where I parked who say speak to ANPR.
    1. Do I write back to ANPR saying want to appeal (even though out of POPLA time).
    2. Do I write back to Agent giving some grief and asking for a copy of their contract - they had attached a letter from ANPR (not associated with me) which told them .... "say there's nothing I can do any more. then blame us! When the message gets around they won't bother you again"...
    3. Do all the above.

I do appreciate there are loads of us asking similar questions with slightly different angles but is soooo stressful. As ever any good advice appreciated.

I would do ALL of what you said, and I would also complain to the BPA (s clark) by email that when you first sent in your first letter of appeal you got no reply, and no popla code , also that this current reply again has no popla code either

then lets see if any popla code arrives , in the meantime assume it does and prepare your popla defence by reading the NEWBIES sticky and its links

just double check that paperwork front and back for any popla verification code first, or popla appeal form with code
