cleaning unerneath laminate

I previously rented a room out to a lady that had a rabbit. I now need to rent this room again but unfortunately there is a lingering "animal" smell. I have laminate down with no proper skirting so the rabbits "by-product" has gone down the sides and underneath. I've tried cleaning the sides but was a bit scared to put too much water down there. Anyone know of anything i could do to get rid of the smell apart from ripping up the boards!!

The problem with laminate flooring is that it's made from MDF which is very absorbant at the edges . All the rabbit wee has probably soaked in to the fibres, and water won't be any use at all for the same reason (we had a small leak in the kitchen and the laminate boards soaked the water up like a sponge making the edges of the boards swell, so they don't lie flat any more). You could try sprinkling lots of bicarbonate of soda in the gaps and leaving it for a few days before vacuuming it out, otherwise I think your only option is to remove the offending boards.0
