Never seem to win?

Options
I'm a bit perplexed as to how some people can win every month and win multiple prizes.
I'm always entering comps and have been comping for around 8-10 months but slowly losing the will to do so.

Am I missing out on something?

I think it is a numbers game. The more that you enter, the more you are likely to win. Some people on here enter hundreds and hundreds every single day. Perhaps you want to shake up what you enter. For example, if you always avoid rafflecopter competitions, try dropping something else and entering them, or try for a couple of months just entering say the mag daillies every day, or concentrating on competitions that require effort, such as a slogan or a creative mood board on pinterest.

Prizes can be like buses. Nothing for months, then three at once.

Remember, if you don't enter, you cannot win. Good luck.

this is brought up regularly & it's a numbers game - if you enter loads (hundreds a day) and include smaller prizes wins will come - if you are only entering a few for mainly largish prizes then wins will be few and far between

Can I ask how many comps you enter a day
I enter about 30 a day or more it doesn't seem a lot but I seem to win good prizes.:)
    It could be you.

When I'm off work, like holidays etc I enter loads and loads, 100s a day until I nearly clear the board (have never totally cleared it!!)
When I'm back in work I enter about 40 and only enter rafflecopters and dailies once and forget them. In December, bearing in mind it was only 40 a day, I won 2 dailies, one rafflecopter and a That's Life puzzle win. So far, after spending hours and hours last week, nothing! And I'm expecting nothing too because that's how it goes for me, enter loads, win nothing, enter few, win something. Crazy!!
Last year I won a daily mag win and only entered once, in the same month I entered one mag comp every day without fail as I really wanted it, nothing!

My advice is, as most people would agree, keep plodding on if you enjoy it, if not don't do it. Today I can't be bothered, so I'm not spending long on it. I'll read a book :)

I was reading a blog about a lady who was keeping track on how many prizes she won vs how many she entered, she found she got on average 1 prize for every 350 she entered

That's blooming good odds! When I tracked my wins (several years ago now), I was getting one win for every 2,000 I entered! I was entering about 150 a day then too!
:T*Thanks to all who posts comps * :j

I reckon Kisto is nearer the average with one win per 2000. You might get one per 350 if you were entering mostly local competitions or effort competitions though.

I agree with everything that's been said it's a numbers game, the more you enter the better the odds of winning.
I think some people enter up to 500 a day  I don't get anywhere close to that but still have some fab wins.

Keep plodding on and good luck :)

When I started back in 2010 I kept a log of everything and won on average 1 comp in every 225 entered, past year or so is roughly 1 in every 1000 entered so a heck of a difference!
I love this board, have "virtually" met so many lovely people, people I am honoured to count as friends.
