Just a quick on to make sure I'm right,

I have finally received my POPLA verification Code, reply letter was what I expected really trying to scare me in to paying the fine. And referring me to a case - parking eye v Mr Kevin Shelly

Now I have received my POPLA code, am I right in thinking I have 28 days to appeal now.

I have been looking through some of the appeal letters and now have a good idea how to word the letter, in my case after visiting the car park again it is very poor signage, and even worse on a night time when I parked you can not even see the signage,

    Thanks again for your help

Check your POPLA code using the checker on Parking Cowboy's site ... some PPCs are known to generate a code then hang on to it for a few days. So don't assume you have 28 days.

Signage should be in your appeal, but it isn't what will win it for you ... No GPEoL and No Authority are the killers.

not really ste, you have 28 days from the date embedded in the code to get it into popla, ie:- it has to be with popla (not in the post) within 28 days of the code , so lets assume you have 3 weeks to sort out your appeal, for safety

plenty of examples linked from post #3 of the newbies thread, but the main 3 points are not a gpeol , no contract or no standing , and poor signage

any of them may get your appeal upheld , so put everything in and let popla pick your winner

    Thanks for the reply,

Have seen the link to this in the sticky post and will check, only reason why I was asking is I'm away for 7 days from tomorrow so wont really get the chance to sort the appeal letter out and do not want to rush it in case I miss something.

    Thanks

Well after searching posts and gathering as much information as I could together I have finally sent my POPLA appeal off.

Now for the waiting game, but would like to thank everybody on here for all the information that's been posted, if it wasn't for this board I would of just paid the fine and thought nothing of it.

Thanks everybody, if it gets rejected at least I tried

Well a turn up for the books here,

Just letting you know, Iceland after originally telling me they was nothing they could do about the parking ticket did a U turn after chatting to the manager last week who have got the ticket cancelled now.

Just received a letter in the post today informing me that the ticket is now cancelled and no further action will be taken.

    I wasn't expecting that
