Well, I am a shy and retiring sort in RL...... but I just think that we've changed so much from my OP on the second diary (and as for from the first.......), that a new focus is in order; to take account of our changed circumstances, how we'll manage, how we'll bring about change (ie moving) and how we'll cope if prices start to rise etc

Poor Great Auntie D. Hope the visit is tolerable. Is she always touchy or is she just grumpy at being in pain and in hospital? Hope it's ok
No, just generally touchy. If anything being in pain and in hospital probably improves things a bit!She could pick a fight in an empty room, generally speaking! It was OK actually - I made a point of doing practical things in between general fluffy chit-chat, reorganising her over-bed table so that the staff have room to put her food down where she can reach it, and other stuff she's using is to hand. wiping it over as something sticky had been spilled and she likes the feeling of "sticky" about as much as I do... Also spoke with the nurse on duty on the way out about getting the catering staff to reorganise things with food service so that she doesn't always end up with hers being cold, and suggested that a clear sign over her bed telling people she is severely partially sighted might be of help all round as it's not obvious, hadn't made it to her notes and she was finding it a problem. Hopefully all helpful stuff and all done at her direction but Mum's going in tomorrow so I'll no doubt find out then what we did wrong! :rotfl:
Ack! New diaries EH & Pips & GP & Cheery?!?!?
EH - I've only just 'found' you
Pips - will you still be having virtual kitchen parties?
GP - has the thought of fame put you off?
Cheery - is the move soon then?

Pleased to have you here Ma'am!
Lovely to see you guys too Stripes, Cheery & RT :T:T
The pasta last night was lovely - nice and quick to cook, I added a splash of of cream as I had it, and it got a sprinkling of grated mature hard goats cheese from a lump we bought at the weekend across the top - it's got so much flavour I thought it would substitute nicely for parmesan and so it does. It'd a devil to grate though being somewhat crumbly!
On the work front today is looking interesting - Madam stomped into the office in a mood so I'm simply keeping my head down!So far today I've said one thing that wasn't in response to a comment from her and I got my head bitten off for that so it's definitely an "under the radar" day I think! Only 5 hours and 12 minutes to go and it's my weekend - I can handle that. (She repeats, under her breath, several times)
Nothing specific planned for tomorrow at all, but at some stage between now and the end of it I must:
- Check again for train travel for our Manchester trip in January
- Have another look for accommodation for an airshow weekend in July - the place I booked turns out to have been stayed in by a friend a few years back and not been great.
- Book my car in for service & MoT for next Friday - then MrEH can use the tube for his work travel and I can have his car.
- Update my bullet-ish journal ready for next week
- Meal-plan for next week (sticking with freezer-use-ups I think)
- Write shopping list
- Go shopping
- Drink Gin. :T:D:T:D:T
I have just had the final bit of money from MrEH for the CC so that's been transferred over - along with £85.95 expenses from work that he put on the card and had already been paid back for - so that's gone across too although it's not due yet.
Also just transferred £30 from my "fun" account to add to the £20 that was in there already - I'll be withdrawing that and using that for our trip to Norwich at the weekend - there will be lunch & dinner out on Saturday, the beer festival itself, and dinner on Sunday too to account for. The accommodation will go on the CC and get cleared next month.🎉 MORTGAGE FREE (First time!) 30/09/2016 🎉 And now we go again…New mortgage taken 01/09/23 🏡
