Stick with Npower or go to First Utility

My online energy January tariff will (not surprisingly) end at the end of January. I have always been happy with the customer service that I've had from npower and am reluctant to leave.
I have done some comparisons and first utility or OVO would save me around £160 per year. However I have read some pretty bad reports about first utility, especially when it comes to incorrect billing and direct debits. I CANNOT afford any issues with my DD's so i'm considering just staying with npower and going onto the December 2017 fixed plan.
First Utility would only be fixed until July 2015 and OVO just for 12 months so 'm thinking that playing the long game may be safer.

Theres a great piece in my union mag called "THE ENERGY RACKET " BY MICK BROOKS, the countrys getting robbed by these self interested money engorged corps.
Its got to stop, the average uk bill is 1300 a year but only 53 and 112 is green leavies .
I switched to FIRST UTILITY to save 150 year from SSE on their 2015 fixed rate.i just pay FU 60 a month.
This weak government and weak regulators need to stop this corrupt monopoly now. 700 million was paid to SSE shareholders ,theyre more important than getting cheap bills to the public.
I said to SSE as I LEFT THEM " youre like a group of burglars who say I take less than the next guy"
Average bills have gone up 73 % since 2009
OVO buy it for less than two years ago yet "the big six" put prices up!!!!
Stereotypically you cant get FU on the phone so I just email the CEO, and if you have a problem with SSE just phone perth hq and ask for FIONA PATERSON THE CEOS P/A.
Theyre all the same......0 -

OVO put it up http://www.ovoenergy.com/2013/04/price-change-announcement/
and then denied it!

You also say "only" £53 and £112 is green leavies (sic). That's £165. British Gas (for instance) made a lot less than that in profit per customer.

Can we thank the unions' ally Mr Miliband for Green Tax on bills rising much faster than industry profits?

its all smoke and mirrors, how can a "system" be nothing but corrupt with just 6 corps running it?
they've taken one billion from customers but only shelled out 3% to "help" society make energy cheaper and more efficient in the home.
they buy from themselves through a part of their own companies so the profits aren't 5% but more like 20%
they generate, buy, profit 4 times within their own "system" of getting gas and elec into your home.
shareholder money flows freely unquestioned direct.....0
