£33.99 spend in ASDA yesterday, but that included a £6.50 meal deal for my birthday at the weekend. Oh and a £4 tub of Ben and Jerry's which is probably all the birthday present I'm going to get from DH ;).

Third NSD in a row - I've yet to plan next week's meals and write my shopping list for tomorrow - got a big bout of lazyitis ;)

I'll be good and do it in the morning - I think it won't be too large a spend. :D

Too frugal debate - I don't have any debt but I'm hoping to retire (at least partially) in 5 years, so I'm being sensible with my last 5 years full salary. The key to it for me is zero wastage and planning properly to minimise unnecessary spending.

I'd never resort to being so frugal to be described by my great aunt as, "So tight she'd skin a turd for a ha'penny!" :rotfl:

I have used Ocado in the past and I found them really good. Their site does state the minimum shelf life of a product and I found that really handy. I always planned my shopping around their offers.

Thats why I am having a break from them......I bought so many offers that the freezer and cupboards are full. I am just doing small shops at the weekend with fresh fruit and veg and other things we may run out of.

Spent £26.75 today in Aldi. Plus £3 on some fizzy pop and diluting juice in the coop.

    So far so good.
  • Had first spend of the month this week £52 at tesco. I shouldn't need to buy anything this weekend. Tonight I'm Going to make a slow cooker leek and potato soup from last weeks old veg. That's Saturday lunch sorted and hopefully one for the freezer.
