What are you waiting for??!!
Ring now, complain and I'm sure you'll get several quid off your next shopping experience or a refund - well worth the effort of a 5 minute phonecall! I would expect at least 3 days to the use by date for a whole chicken.Overpay Mortgage by £9,100 in 2013 - £9,316.16/£9,100

If its Tesco that delivered I always call them to complain if I get meat less than sell by and then they will refund you - so you get them free
I used to have this problem all the time!0 -
NSD today for me
Going to make creamy tarragon and mustard chicken with rice and veg (carrots/green beans and broccoli)
Then going to attempt to make queen of puddings later as a treat as I have all the ingredients in and I think it will make a nice Friday night treat.
I made flapjack yesterday and added a few chopped nuts and sultanas and dark chocolate chips - it was the best ever - DH had 3 pieces last night and took a piece to work today with his packed lunch - so I can safely say that was a success (problem is I am low now on dark chocolate chips - they were DD stash of hotel chocolat chips and I may have to replace them!!!!)
Oh well time for school pick up now - one job ends and another one begins!!

Sounds like people haven't had very good experiences with online deliveries - I was contemplating this as I got a voucher for £15off £60 shop, but sounds like it is not worth the hassle.

Treat supper last night of a pancake with maple syrup! I know not very nutritious but was absolutely exhausted and just wanted to eat and get to bed.
Of course that meant I couldn't get to sleep till at least 1am!

Whilst I was up, I was reading with interest but 'too frugal.'
Very interesting to hear everyone's ideas, and to throw in my 2p, I don't really think I am that frugal (maybe others would think differently). I don't feel like I deprive myself of things such as good meat, plenty of veg, variety of food, but this is achieved by strict budgeting so I know exactly how much I have to spend. I guess it all depends on your priorities.
I don't prioritise designer clothes, fancy gadgets and the like. But I do prioritise time with my family and OH, having enough food to eat, financial security - such asbeing able to pay for car issues without getting into debt or worrying about how I would afford to pay for it.
Hope that helps who was asking.

I have some pork belly that I need to use up - does anyone have any recipes that they wouldn't mind sharing?

NSD yesterdayM3 Dec2015 #160 Target £150,000 (BU £155000)0 -
I counted up how much money I have left out of my budget for the month. I have a grand total of £27.70 left:eek::eek::eek: out of £150.
This is because a) I haven't been watching what I am spending and logging recipes b) I haven't done a proper food plan and c) we have had several takeaways. And all of this is due to me being stressed out of my box at work. I have had this week off work and today is the first day I have felt like doing anything. I have cooked a few things and really enjoyed doing it - having the time to take my time over it rather than rushing to get it ready after work is soooo nice.
By doctors orders I have next week off work too so I want to do a lot more home cooking and have no takeaways. To that end I have my first ever experimental pizza dough being prepared right now in the breadmaker. If it works out ok then the pizza will form part of a picnic I want to put together for me and OH to enjoy tomorrow (weather depending!).
I want to try and make that last £27 go as far as possible.0 -
Spent £1.93 on groceries today - kilo of oats for breakfasts and a few snacks. Puts me up to £25.68/100 for Feb at 1/4 of the way through the month, so only just over my target. Thank goodness for this being an exactly 4 week month, makes it so much easier to see how far the money goes!New graduate trying to get debt-free.
Make £5/day challenge: August £84.08/155
I owe £5400 (plus £34,000 Student Finance)

DD had dancing yesterday and wanted a bottle of water which cost 50p so I'm taking that from the G budget as I should have been more organised and took one with us!
Today I had uni for a course I'm doing through work - I took my sandwich but bought a tea 82p and bag of crisps 40p then came home to no milk so nipped to shop and got both milks we used for £3 then spotted YS chicken breast reduced from £3.00 for two breasts to 99p for two! Couldn't turn that offer away! So total spend now is
