'System Error' message on camera

Back in U.K. - evening all, and needing techie help even en route.

'System Error' message came up on camera as I left NZ airport, with the lens remaining out, rather than automatically retreating into the camera body(Lumicron LDC-825Z3). Camera has not been jolted or dropped. The only Solution in the User Guide is 'Turn the camera off, remove and reinsert the battery and turn the camera on. If the same message appears, contact your retailer.' Camera was bought Dec05 from Bar Hill Tesco and I just wonder if anyone has a possible solution.
I would be very grateful for any help.

  • I had the same problem with mine also contacted the customer services and told yes we can fix it and will be £150 regardless of the fault. Is the camera worth this amount you need to ask yourself

    Leave the battery out overnight then re-try it.

    Yes, this is pretty much the response I had for the beloved Sony, which Lumicron replaced. Shall try though.

    Lumicron cameras update - OUT OF BUSINESS
    As the service no -0870.766.8418 - continues to give a recorded 'mailbox full' message, I spent much time yesterday. trying to track them via BT listings around Hemel Hempstead for similar businesses.
    Neither Jessups nor Campkins ahve heard of the brand and Jessups, particularly, went to a lot of trouble asking Head Office etc.
    Back to Mr T helpline - Lumicron now shows on their screens as 'no longer in business', so I am being sent a claim Form.
