If there is laptop, that has a wireless internet connection, that can pick up broadband if the availability is there.
If the laptop is in Location1, will this give 1 unique IP address for this location?
then afterwards if the laptop is turned off, moved to a different city -Location 2, ( which is 20 minutes away from location 1), and turned on here, which will pick up this NEW broadband at that new property, then will this give a different IP address, to the IP address in location 1?
If it is moved to 6 different cities, will the IP address of all 6 locations be different ?
and what is the best way to check the IP address at each different location ?
Added:
Operating system - Windows 7

Internal or external address?Karen_taris wrote: »and what is the best way to check the IP address at each different location ?Understeer is when you hit a wall with the front of your car
Oversteer is when you hit a wall with the back of your car
Horsepower is how fast your car hits the wall
Torque is how far your car sends the wall across the field once you've hit it0 -
Assuming we're talking IPv4...
The external address will always be unique at any particular time, although ISPs may use dynamic IP allocation, so it is theoretically possible (although unlikely) than an IP address assigned to your network in Location 1 will be re-used at a later time by a network in Location 2.
You can check your network's external IP address via sites such as http://www.whatismyip.com/.
The internal address assigned to your laptop will be unique on that particular network at that particular time, but the same internal address range may be used by other private networks. Local (internal) IP addresses may also be assigned dynamically (using DHCP), so your laptop may be assigned the address 192.168.1.20 from 10am to 12pm, while your smartphone is assigned that address from 1pm onwards.
You can usually check your local IP address using ipconfig (Windows) or ifconfig (Linux) commands.0 -
op confusing IP address with MAC address maybe? The MAC addy will remain constant, the IP addy will change at each location/bb connection.......Gettin' There, Wherever There is......
I have a dodgy "i" key, so ignore spelling errors due to "i" issues, ...I blame Apple

If you use a 3/4G dongle though the mobile network could conceivably allocate you the same IP each time you connect even though you have moved locations0
