Yes true, but their argument is that such people are best placed to have knowledge of what budget is necessary. Note also the outcomes of the groups are moderated by experts where necessary, and each group includes examples from a range of socio-economic circumstances.

Certainly, looking at the budgets, they are not exactly extravagant. What is your issue with the methodology?

Obviously asking turkeys what they think about christmas (even when moderated by 'experts', will inevitably lead in one sort of direction.

I am a little sceptical about why we need such a measure.
One more soundbite to be misused by politicians and vested interest groups.

The concept of an 'expert' in the living wage is a worrying thought too.

Oh careful, if you keep holding Griz to task for his posts he'll start calling you 'Reno'.

Funny you mention that. He did it to me the other day when I kindly recommended a Seasonal Affective Disorder lamp.

Don't blame me, I voted Remain.

So your contribution to this debate is simply to regurgitate another piece of so-called 'research' that indicates there are - in the UK - £13 million people in poverty.

I challenge you to nail your colours to the mast and simply state that you truly believe it. There is nothing wrong with disagreements and argument about what people are saying. But this sort of "hit and run" post adds nothing!

While telling us that you believe it, then you could also add value by stating what you think we should do about it.

    Don't like this charity either?

    Who should I believe?

Should we have degrees of poverty, mild, severe, abject, self induced? I don't dispute there are some !!!!less lazy sods around. but 13 million is over 20%+ of the population in the 8th(?) richest country?

Build more houses, create more credit, cut welfare, reduce taxes and privatise everything.

    Don't need to.

It really is the first sign of madness talking to yourself, writing to yourself must be an interesting case study.

Not CAB. That's also ruled out.

Why aren't you using your shortchanged logon? (The only other user that uses the 'Reno' comment).

I have but one log on by all means ask the moderators to check.

I have often wondered why people feel the need to have so many logons. No doubt there is a classification for it.
