Parking eye charge

Hi All,

I did the stupid thing of ignoring the letters from Parking eye based on old posts and an earlier experience i had with a parking ticket.

I have now received a claim form from Northampton county court and need help with mounting a defense.

I think i have a strong case based upon hidden and missing signage. I had gone to visit friends at Holiday Inn Express Heathrow Terminal 5 and when i entered the parking area i didn't see any parking notices. I must have parked the car for over an hour. I did notice a parking sign when i was exiting the lobby but it didn't mention anything about APNR system. I quickly ran to my car and was relived that there was no parking ticket on it and considered myself lucky.

Some weeks later i received a parking charge notice from Parking eye with pictures of my car entering and exiting the car park. I started to ignore the letters based on a past experience i had with a parking ticket where the PPC went away after a while.

I believe the signage at the express inn is intentionally placed so that people miss it and i think its a trap for people like me. If the signs were properly displayed i would have bought a ticket and spared myself this headache.

Please guide me and advise as to how i can fight back,

regards,

Sunil
