Help required I.C.C letter and then one from Ps and P

Hi

We have received a letter dated in June stating immediate action was required to prevent court action this was issued by Icc. This was relating to a parking ticket back in November 2012 in Merseyside. Since then we heard nothing until this last week when we received a letter from PS &P. The first was asking for £86 with a 30 pound admin fee. The second letter 8 days later was regarding the outstanding amount owed to Car Parking Partnership( they initially issued the fine for £50-what's really annoying was the first 30 minutes were for free and we only parked there for 10 minutes but never got a free ticket, and the warden actually stood and watched us leave and return!

Has anyone else had letters from different recovery companies?

Many thanks

plenty of similar posts about this on here (usually on a daily basis) , also dealt with in the NEWBIES - READ THIS FIRST sticky thread at the top of this forum (that you appear to have ignored)

so read that , also read this similar thread where replies were already given recently on similar issues

  • I've read the huge amount of posts on the matter and felt a lot better until today when we received another letter from PS &P. Stating it was an arrears notice letter. At the end it it state should you fail to comply with either if the requests above ( which was asking for payment in full or part with an agreement to continue paying the rest) within 7 days of the date of this notice we shall instruct our external collector to attend your property for the purposes of collecting the debt in full.

Is it time to now worry???

    Thanks

I think you are missing the point here myself

these are debt collector letters, nothing can happen until you have been to court and that can only happen if the creditor or landowner or their legally appointed agent takes you to court

therefore the sticky thread clearly tells you to ignore all letters until an LBA or LBCC or county court claim letter comes in the post

you chose to ignore the initial letters so this is what it brings you, debt collector letters etc until they refer it back to creditor for action (or not)

they can only send in the heavies after a CCJ has been issued and you have not paid it

I am sure the NEWBIES thread I referred you to details all this in full

Time to calm down, and properly read the stickies and other threads. I wrote the 'NEWBIES please read this first' sticky thread to inform people about their options including at debt collector stage. It's all covered - the forum is here to help you and the answers are already here in the sticky thread for NEWBIEs and in other threads, look:

Please read the sticky threads too and learn what to take seriously (a letter before county court claim from CPP) and what to ignore (a debt collector threatogram).

And CPP don't do court so you will have quite a wait unless all you newbies are going to get a joke of a court claim if CPP break the habit of a lifetime (easily defendable in may cases especially with an inexperienced PPC about an old case). Even a small claim is nothing to fret about - doesn't even affect credit rating after all, if a person actually lost and paid the PCN after all - and we say the evidence says it's highly unlikely to happen.

    HTH
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
