Bother to cancel old credit cards

in Credit cards
Got loads of old credit cards that I haven't used for ages. To be honest, some of them I never used for purchases just for 0% balance transfers etc.
Is it worth bothering to cancel these? Or just leave them? I'm just wondering if having a shedfull of credit cards with £0 on them is somehow negative with reference to your credit rating or something...
