Mighty Deals let down

Hi,
I purchased a tablet from Mighty deals and parted with my cash on 1st November 2013, waited for delivery .... and waited ... it finally turned up mid December and the screen was cracked. Rang them, probably half a dozen times before I could get an answer, they emailed me the address to return it to, which I did by recorded delivery.
Having rang countless times, been on hold for best part of an hour, my daughter tweeted about them and they gave us a new email address, which they do respond to fairly quickly (twitter@mightydeals.co.uk for anyone else unable to get replies) they have told me on different occassions that the replacement has been sent, now today they are saying that the old one has been received back (yes I know that, I sent to you the proofs via email) and the replacement will be sent out soon!
I am absolutely at the end of my tether with them, I am very tempted to drive to their offices in Godlaming and demand to see their MD, surely this is not right? Their customer service skills are beyond shoddy, they just don't care!
I also ordered a small present for someone else for Christmas which failed to arrive, now I have the drama of trying to get my money back.
Dare I ask if anyone else has had rubbish treatment from them and if they have had their issues resolved?
I wish I had never done business with them!
If you are considering it, AVOID them like the plague!:mad::mad::mad::mad:

  • Although it doesn't help you much, you are not alone. There are threads here and on at least one other forum detailing problems with this business.
  • Having the same problem as many. Ordered a tablet for my granddaughter in November for her Christmas present, when it arrived it wouldn't charge. Followed their returns procedure and awaited a replacement....I am still waiting. Spent hours on the phone listening to a recorded "please hold the line" message, numerous emails which occasionally bring false hope when someone replies with promises never kept then they stop replying. Messaged via twitter and their reply is send details and we will look into it, having sent all details three times now I have given up on that avenue. Will start a charge back via my credit card now.

  • Gee.....a 'voucher/discount/wowcher/groupon' merchant that turns out to be sh17....what a surprise!!!
  • well i have to say that they came thru in the end, the replacement finally arrived, and they said "due to all the hassle and upset involved" I would get a full refund on the tablet. I am waiting for that tho! anyone having any problems, then email helena.lawrence@mightydeals.co.uk she is head of complaints, and helpful, but the lady who has been the most help is Lauren.Marsh@mightydeals.co.uk, she is a star.
    Hope you all get sorted, and I am keeping my fingers crossed for my refund 2!!
