Chillies and peppers are like me, they need warmth.
Unheated greenhouse at this time of year won't be warm enough for germination. Better to do those indoors.0 -

Thanks for your advice. Mr and Mrs Builder and myself put my 'new' kitchen in at the weekend (2 ebay lots doors and some units + 4 wall cupboards from old house + they used trade discount to get the remaining units) I asked if they could get the bark at trade and Mr builder said it would be cheaper at the farm and he is going there this week (they keep ducks) so not sure when but bark is sorted. My mission in life is not only to survive, but to thrive and to do so with some Passion, some Compassion, some Humour and some Style.NST SEP No 1 No Debt No mortgage0

Hi thought i would join in if you dont mind. I have had varied success with growing veg in the past and moving in June last year meant i didn't get as much done as i wanted.
This year i am going to have a dedictaed fruit bed i have gooseberrys blueberries strawberries and redcurrents from last year. i aim to add some raspberrys and getting some rhubarb from someone at work.
I have a veg patch currently still have leeks in it they grew amazingly well. This year i am going to go back to growing my potatoes in pots. I am going to try the square foot type of gardening. so going for peas, beans, leeks , garlic beetroot. (i have a list of others but am still narrowing it down)
Going to do a couple of window boxes lettuce and rocket , i have my herbs in pots basil, thyme chives and mint rosemary is a no go my jack russell just eats it all
Also i have a walk in plastic greenhouse did ok with tomatoes chilli's peppers and cucumber last year so going to do these again but not bring as many on from seed as i had far too many tomato and chilli plants about 100 or so before i started giving them away
So far i have my plans drawn up, my seed drawer checked and i have my list of what i have and what i need to get just ordered some purple tomato seeds totally exciting. I am trying to get the most out of the garden as i can as from garden to fork in a couple of hours tastes great.February Grocery challenge 78.13/1500 -
