Hi everyone!
I would like to buy one of those Steam Cleaners to use on a Laminate floor. (I currently mop the floor but it is getting too wet)
Could anyone recommend a good one please that is not too expensive?

I have just bought a Vax hard floor steamer from Ar*os at reduced price£39.99
I have used one at work for 3 months and been pleased with it so bought my own. Only used it on steam for work and floors were never too wet, used it at home on clean, with added cleaner in it and the floors were very wet, but clean!
Used the green £100 at work for a year,it went back twice for repair and the accessories are not up to the job.
Bissell only lasted about 6 months, and needed a new filter every 6 weeks only available from manufacturer.
Also used 2 triangular shaped jobbies that retail at about £30 neither worth bothering with.

Thank You! harp07
Very useful information. I will take a look at the Vax you mentioned,0 -
Hi, harp07, I have also just bought the same steamer mop from arg@s. I've used it once and have found that it doesn't produce enough steam, without a temperature control I found that the floors just got very wet. I don't think I'm happy using it on a laminate floor due to the wetness, but maybe I've got unrealistic expectations as I have never used a steam mop before. Do you have any hints or tips for me? Thanks Angela0

Didn't see any VAX at that price. Got really good reviews on the Hoover £69.99.
Like you, angelaloveschocolate, I am really concerned about the water on my laminate. Thought it would be a bit dryer being steam but not sure now.
I have wide plank laminate but have just noticed some bubbling on one plank that I hadn't seen before so thought I must have got water in the join when I mopped it. Thought I had found the answer with steam!!!!0 -
I use tha Vax on Steam only on oak floorboards, laminate, vinyl and natural stone, haven't had any issues at all and I do hold the switch in to produce steam continuously which if you read the gumph they tell you not to do.0

I have had 2 of those and I think they are pointless, but they will not produce enough steam to wet your floor!0

I have one of these:
http://www.amazon.co.uk/Vax-Kitchen-Bathroom-Compact-Cleaner/dp/B004J3588I/ref=sr_1_8?ie=UTF8&qid=1389011506&sr=8-8&keywords=vax+steam
It's not designed specifically for floors, but does have a floor attachment. I find it steams up really well and don't have any "soggy" issues.
I've used it on stone floors, ceramic tile floors, upholstery, in the bathroom, and in the kitchen, and on all but the very worst dirt (years of cooked-on gunk in an oven - not mine I hasten to add!) it's very effective. I also find it quite a fun way to clean, as there's not so much hard graft required.Cashback / Freebie Sites I Use:

I have a Vax too but slightly different model
