MS Money alternatives

I'm sure that this has been posted before but I can't easily locate any threads!
My laptop is nearing the end of it's life and before it completely dies I'm trying to be organised and sorting out what would need transferring to a new one.
I have used MS Money for years although I know that it no longer sold or supported.
Does anyone have any recommendations for good alternatives. I don't necessarily want to be able to automatically upload to it from my bank accounts, I'm happy manually inputting transactions. Not too bothered about reports or budgetting; really like to just keep account details in one easy to see/access place.
Many thanks
AA

Have you tried just using spreadsheets?0

Banktree personal works well for me. Should also import MS money files.0

You can still get Quicken 'used' and run that on W7 under Compatability mode, though apparently some functions won't work. Can't comment on W8.No free lunch, and no free laptop0

Have you looked at Microsoft Money Plus Sunset Deluxe?

There is another product called Homebank that I came across last year which I haven't used but you may wish to try.

Hope this helps0 -

I think this is the US version of MS Money, if you go to http://blog.garethjmsaunders.co.uk/archives/2011/11/27/download-microsoft-money-2005-for-free/ and scroll down to "Conclusion" there is an option to download the UK version.0 -
I've used Banktree for 3 years, even upgrading to version 3 last month, but have since ditched it for AceMoney following the most arrogant and unhelpful response to a support ticket I've ever had.
AceMoney is excellent btw - it has a much more polished interface and is a breeze to use. Banktree was clunky and buggy by comparison, wish I'd researched the alternatives more thoroughly before upgrading!0 -
GnuCash is what I use.0

I use Tesco Personal Finance, which is a rebranded Money Dance. Works well.0

I tried out most of the alternatives some time back and rapidly came to the conclusion that MS Money is still the best there is , even if it is un-supported ... officially anyway!
Unless there is a good reason to use something else and you are happy with MS Money, then I'd recommend sticking with it!0
