Applying for a credit card with a Min. income

Hi

I've just done the MSE pre-eligibility checker for a CC and it's tell me that I've a 90% chance at getting the new Barclaycard but the min. income is 20k and I'm making just over 19k...

Anyone is similar circumstances? And is it because I'm very close to the min. income that I've been such a high chance?

Thanks in advance :j:j

Well you've got 95% of the required income anyway.

People have reported getting cards in situations such as yours, so probably depends on how valuable a credit search is to you. One search in isolation won't be too damaging if refused, and as long as you're not making a mortgage application in the next few months, or making loads of credit applications then it's probably worth a go.

I've just recently opened a 0% 18 month B/T Platinum Barclaycard without a problem and get this, I only earn around 5K (I'm a student with a part time job.)

But then again, my credit file is pretty much spotless. It's worth trying.
