Improving credit score after IVA

Hi,
Last June I made the final payment on my IVA with my ex. I am now in full time employment as a nurse and I am looking to try to improve my credit score.

How is best to go about this?

    It would be a good idea to check your credit files to see that the IVA is correctly recorded.

    You could apply for a Vanquis credit card see http://www.vanquis.co.uk/

    The interest rates rates are horrendous so make sure you repay it in full every month!

    Once you have credit checked yourself, you should make sure all defaults are dated around the time your IVA was approved, defaults will drop off after 6 years.

    Your IVA should also be marked as completed but will continue to show for 6 years from the date the IVA was approved.

    You can send a copy of your completion certificate to creditors if they are still defaulting you or have the account as active or the date in incorrect
