Though using RF won't give you stereo or pro-logic.It's PAC not PAC Code, it's MAC not MAC Code, it's PIN not PIN Number, it's ATM not ATM Machine, it's LCD not LCD Display, it's DVD not DVD disc... It's no one not noone, It's a lot not alot, It's got not gotten... Panini is the plural of panino - there is no S!!(OK my English isn't great, the sciences, maths & IT are my strong points!)0 -

You have two ways of doing this.
1)
Take Scart lead from DVD recorder and connect to the VCR socket on Sky Box.
2) Take the TV scart from the Sky box connect it to the second scart socket on the DVD Recorder, then the main scart socket on the DVD Recorder to the TV.
You can also use RF and try and scan for the RF channel, but the picture won't be as clear and you lose and won't record stereo / pro-logic sound same as you do on an old stereo VCR - if you chose RF to record you lose stereo / pro-logic from the Sky box.
So ideally you don't want to be using RF to record Sky, but telling your DVD Recorder to use AV1 or AV2 or what ever the DVD Recorder calls the SCART socket.
Though you need the aerial in from outside in to Sky box, then into DVD recorder, then into TV. This will allow you also to tune the DVD recorder into the RF output of Sky box, but you shouldn't really bother with that or record using RF.It's PAC not PAC Code, it's MAC not MAC Code, it's PIN not PIN Number, it's ATM not ATM Machine, it's LCD not LCD Display, it's DVD not DVD disc... You don't need a SCART going from the Sky box and the DVD recorder to the TV, that's just wasting a SCART socket on the TV and using an extra sSCART lead.
See my other reply, for the 2 SCART choices. It's PAC not PAC Code, it's MAC not MAC Code, it's PIN not PIN Number, it's ATM not ATM Machine, it's LCD not LCD Display, it's DVD not DVD disc... I dont have a 15 metre long scart cable so its a small price to pay..
I couldn't live with mono sound. It's PAC not PAC Code, it's MAC not MAC Code, it's PIN not PIN Number, it's ATM not ATM Machine, it's LCD not LCD Display, it's DVD not DVD disc... It's no one not noone, It's a lot not alot, It's got not gotten... Panini is the plural of panino - there is no S!!(OK my English isn't great, the sciences, maths & IT are my strong points!)0 -

never needed anything else for normal tv viewing.. Got the whole surround sound thing for the DVD player (and my panasonic unit does a good job of making my mono into virtuall dolby anyway). Although it all gets turned off for anything other than movies.0 -
"Virtual dolby" - Please don't swear!
I have a DD5.1 / DTS amp too, but my TV has pro-logic as it's an old TV and don't want to replace it yet.
Has to be proper surround for me, none of the fake rubbish. It's PAC not PAC Code, it's MAC not MAC Code, it's PIN not PIN Number, it's ATM not ATM Machine, it's LCD not LCD Display, it's DVD not DVD disc... It's no one not noone, It's a lot not alot, It's got not gotten... Panini is the plural of panino - there is no S!!(OK my English isn't great, the sciences, maths & IT are my strong points!)0
