Buildings Insurance - within 400 metres (just) of water course

My property is within 400 metres of water (a lake) but it is managed by all manner of sluices etc so that it has never flooded. As a result I do get turned down by a few insurers but most don't seem to find it an issue. I would just use a comparison site and be sure to mention this. As an extra precaution once that has identified the insurer you would like to use I then normally apply with them from scratch direct through their own website to be sure it is not an issue (as I sometimes find the info supplied to comparison sites is not exactly what individual insurers ask).0
