Was the seller in the UK?
If they are they should refund you.

Were you given your rights in a durable medium and did you cancel in a durable medium within the allowed time frame?

Were the items ear rings or anything which can not be returned for hygene reasons?
    1. Have you tried to Google the answer?
    2. If you were in the other person's shoes, how would you react?
    3. Do you want a quick answer or better understanding?

They can't do this, their T&Cs do not overwrite your statutory consumer rights. You are entitled to a full refund under the DSRs, remind them of this.
