Getting an e voucher for sale items returned help

bought stuff in a sale at christmas, and returned some of it and i have i been given a e voucher for the value. Surely they cant do this? given the The Distance Selling Regulations. i wasnt aware that this would would of been the case otherwise, i wouldnt of bought from them. Paid via Paypal. Need some help before phoning this morning.

bought online but wasnt aware of the T& C's about returning sale items. Bought on Christmas night, received Monday past, and they recieved the returned items yesterday.0

there was a web purchase order along with the items, only confirmed the order nothing else in relation to sale returns being credited by e voucher.0

Were the items ear rings or anything which can not be returned for hygene reasons?1. Have you tried to Google the answer?

They can't do this, their T&Cs do not overwrite your statutory consumer rights.
