I have a Scottish power boiler cover but apparently its not worth the paper it is written on, apparently if they decide your boiler cant be repaired they just don't bother to turn up or contact you! I had my boiler fixed by an independent engineer today, if I cancel my contract with Scottish power where do I stand? The story of how I have been treated by them is far too long but needless to say I cannot call it a good experience and will be changing my supplier very shortly!

We have also had this boiler cover as we have the Gas & Elec with them. I took out the policy in Oct and the first available annual service appointment was Mid Jan so I have recently cancelled it and go to British Gas

My advice is move away from Scottish Power as I also have a very long story about their customer care

Update on Scottish power!!! Surprise surprise I received a telephone all from Scottish power on Saturday saying they were returning my phone call which I apparently made earlier that dat!! this is an out and out lie, as I had not contacted them for a while as I had given up! They had obviously read my rant on here and thought they should inform me why they are not mending my boiler!! Apparently its a health and safety matter yet their engineer took my boiler on in the first place and when asked this question as they do a check before agreeing to take you on they could not answer me!!! I was informed that someone will phone me and tell me the answer to that one but I am not holding my breath! My advise to anyone is don't go near Scottish power they lie!!
