Double Glazing

Hi
I had double glazing installed in April 2010 by a company I'd rather not name at this point. Ever since I've been trying to get them to finish the remedial work.
Eventually at the end of last year I had Trading Standards involved which culminated in the MD and TS coming to my house.
The MD said there was nothing wrong with the install of the sliding sash windows even though they were installed with up to 5" of spray foam. This is against the manufacturers recommendations of a mechanical fix to prevent frame distortion. Of course, he completely blanked the issue of the frames spreading making the seals useless.
By the end of the meeting where nothing much was solved he agreed that they would come out and remove the spray foam and substitute with wood...note - not remove the windows and re-fit mechanically. They would do this when I was next free...note - this doesn't apply to evenings, weekends or any other time I have off work.
I will have to specifically try and get time off work (I work away a lot), in advance, for their surveyor to come around - bearing in mind this has been done at least once already. Then if and when they decide to come out to fix their install fault I'll have to try and take more time off.
The other alternative is they will negotiate an ex gratia payment to terminate the contract "this offer is not in any form admitting liability for issues raised" - i.e. disappear and sort the problem yourself because we can't be bothered.
So I'm stuck with a window company saying there's nothing wrong with a bad install and wanting to pay themselves out of it. Trading Standards appear to have sided with the window company because they believe his bull.
Does anyone have any ideas what is my best course of action?
Sorry for a long post.

An independant inspection by a specialist and several quotes to put the job in order.
Then you want a refund that covers that.Censorship Reigns Supreme in Troll City...0 -
As above ^^^^^
Just make sure they can't argue with your specialists qualifications.0 -
That's great information, I know in which direction to head now.
Thanks for your help :-)0
