how to sell concert tickets (short notice)?

Wondering ho to do this - my friend has two tickets for Maroon 5 in B'ham NEC next Wed (8/1). She wants to sell them, but Stubhub won't take tickets so near the date.

Are there any other sites forumites know for selling the tickets? My friend only really want to make her money back, not make a profit!

Personally I would try the local Facebook sites as she'll need to be looking at a quick cash sale.

Thanks - but how do I find a local Facebook site? Didn't know they existed!

In your facebook search bar, type in a phrase such as 'items for sale in 'whatever area you live in'

They are just groups set up by other facebook users in which public can sell stuff - I think they are great and sell quite a bit through them - no fees unlike flea bay!

I had to sell some concert tickets last month three days before the concert, and within ten mins of posting them, they had been snapped up
The opposite of what you know...is also true

Thanks. Have found a couple of groups - hopefully someone will let me join before it's too late! Really should have sorted this sooner...
  • also advertise them on twitter - @twickets and #tickets, #maroon5 etc so that fans might see them.

You could also try Gumtree, completely free to advertise on there, and with some luck could be sold within hours.

    Just like mine were.
Looking forward to the day I have nothing left to list on eBay
  • ViaGoGo, worth a try, although quite an expensive way.
