100% guaranteed

After completing the credit search on Money Saving Expert page I received a 100% guarantee for a Halifax 0% balance card, the page also informed me that as I had completed the search NO FURTHER CREDIT SEARCH WOULD BE REQUIRED. Acceptance would be automatic. Having proceeded to complete the Halifax on line application, and getting to the last part it informed me that my credit limit would not be £1200 but only £500 with a transfer limit of only £475, having contacted them they said a full credit search would still be required and that Money Saving Expert site is wrong. Has any one else come across this situation?

  • What has this site got to do with credit searches?
"You know when it's cold outside when you go outside and it's cold"
  • when applying for a credit card this site does a "soft search" which doesn't leave a footprint on your credit score.
