Temporary Charity Work

Hu Guys,


Hoping someone will be able to help with this one. I left my job just before Christmas and have a month before I start my new one. I'd like to keep busy and give something back in the meantime, but most charity opportunities seem to want people who are available for longer than a month.


I'm genuinely happy to do almost anything, and just wondered if there were any websites with temporary opportunities listed, or alternatively if there is anyone working for a charity in the SW London/Wimbledon area who needs a hand with something.

You could try http://www.do-it.org.uk/

And also google volunteer plus your local council name: that might bring up a local volunteer organisation.

However you may struggle: it can be quite hard to 'use' a volunteer at short notice for all sorts of reasons ...
