He has got a teen saver account with the yorkshire but when I phoned them last week they said I had to make an appointment for him and as the "current account adviser" only worked tuesdays and she has a full diary up to end of july!!! Are there any banks we can just go in with the relevant id and just open an account?
thanks in advance

Any High Street bank will be able to do this.

As he is only 16, some may also allow him access to special/higher interest rates for children as well.

I would try HSBC and Nationwide myself..
