Santander 123 Credit Card - a question for people who use it

Hi all,

For the people who use Santander 123 Credit Card, do you find it a bit confusing how it calculates the amount it gives back in cashback in your statements?

It shows me all the transactions but I would find it useful if it told me how much I earned per transaction.

I am a bit suspicious I am not getting all the cashback I should earn.

Do other card companies with cashback offers show a breakdown of how it was earnt?

Too be honest, I've never bothered to check whether the amount is correct. How much is yours off by?

I sort of do but I don't really mind, I am getting some money back and that's the important thing.
I wouldn't mind if it broke it down saying "petrol" or "train"... something similar maybe.

I hate their statements though. Not even A5 so won't fit in the folder neatly, yet their current 123 account has A4 pages. What a bother!

I don't want to hijact this thread but I also have a question about Santander credit cards.

I have one and its paid off in full each month by direct debit from a Santander 123 account.

However, has anyone else noticed that the money seems to go from their account 1 day before the due date (as shown on-line) and is then credited to the card statement the next day? (i.e. the money disappears for a day rather than being shown instantly as a internal transfer would)

    Regards
    Sunil

I've had the 123 credit card for about 6 months. I have kept a spreadsheet of all transactions and expected cashback amount and it reconciles with what has actually been paid.

My Amex Platinum does - but online only and under a slightly hidden link (not very hidden - just not front page!). Otherwise it just shows the amount earnt.

I suspect if they showed it, they would have to show it to 3/4 decimal places, and they'd be inundated with phone calls from people complaining.
