Paying Buy now Pay later with a credit card.

Just looking for some advice (again!).
I have 4 months left on a buy now pay later account with woolworths and wondering whether I can pay off the outstanding balance with a credit card without incurring any charges for that particular transaction?

I'm just a bit confused as to what kind of transaction it would be 'classed as' on the credit card, (money transfer, purchase etc......?)

I'm assuming that a catalogue account (buy now pay later) would not be eligible for a 0% balance transfer on a credit card? Is this right?

Thanks for any input!

Comments

  • It will be classed as a purchase and you will only incur any fees that woolworths may charge for a credt card transaction, these will be highlighted when you make the payment.

Unless it is a woolworths credit card you have the outstanding balance on, you can't transfer the balance.
