Car parking ticket (euro car parks, England)

Hi

I am wondering if anyone can help my brother please.

On Sunday he went shopping and left his car on one of euro car parks. Whilst shopping it seems that he lost his car keys and had to walk home.

When we went back to the car, there was a ticket on it. We wrote on the ticket that the keys were lost, we went to the booth but no one was in it, however there was a note on the booth explaining that a key for a Peugeot car had been found and handed in at the local pub (how lucky!).

The note was signed by a euro car parking attendant.

We've yet to ring them, but we are a little unsure on what to do? We've heard of them being very 'money thirsty' and wonder what to do if we don't get a fair answer from them?

Thanks for any advice!
