Just popped into my local Waitrose for a bit of lunch, and they've knocked down most of the Christmas food and wrap & cards etc .
Got a big tin of Quality Street for £2.40, big Heston choc puds down to £2ish from over £10, most kids choc sets including premium ones now 75% off, mini smarties penguins, giant quality street, lindt santas etc all 16p each, gift wrap 88p was £3, cards 75p was £3
They were also manually putting reduction labels to half price on most of the chilled Christmas party food and big hams etc
Super bargains to be had

Oh no! I must resist these offers, I want to lose the weight I have put on over the festive period:(
But it is all just so tempting and I am going in there tomorrow - hopefully they will have sold all of the fattening stuff!Stopped smoking 27/12/2007, but could start again at any time :eek:0 -
Just been to the Ipswich one but to be honest there's only a very small amount left. About 15 tins of the quality street for £4.50( the fancier tin) some chocolate tree decorations and some lollies. There are some festive cake cases down the baking aisle. The aisle is now getting ready for Easter and already got the creme eggs out!0

Never had it, won't miss it.
Although £1.18 for 800g of chocolate that you can stick in a glass bowl with and bribe kids with is a v small price to pay!Value-for-money-for-me-puhleeze!

Got a cider and sherry Christmas pudding, BBE April 2015, marked at £1.50 but went through at 87p
. Not a large one but easily big enough for four. Not many really good bargains this year compared to others. I think there's a good stock control at my branch this year

Got Heston choch & ginger cake for 0.99p and it was £13.99. Anyway don't want to be cruel to H but after tasting it, 99p wasn't that great bargain.0

Really worth registering for QuickCheck and using one of Waitrose's hand scanners (if your branch has them). I found a lot of items with one price on the shelf and a much lower one when scanned....0

Thanks never bothered with it before but with the queues getting longer and longer in waitrose I think I'd better bite the bullet.0 -
I went to my local very large one in Raynes park, they had nothing and had reduced the Kale by 10p an insult. The rest had 30p off good luck to those who got a genuine bargain.0
