Apple ipad

I have a new Apple ipad and I cant seem to get MSE and its passwords etc past the first post. I had an old user name a while ago and made a new one to replace it as I had things going wrong with it all the time. Now that I have the ipad I want to just carry on with same user name. BUT I cant seem to get any joy out of transferring the un to the ipad. I have asked for umpteen password replacements but it still harks back to original username....

Also on the home page with mse the discussion part seems to all roll into the results AND discussion - so nothing for me to click on for DT.

Does that make any sense???

    Is it an iPad Air?
What version of iOS are you running?
Are you browsing using Safari or something else?
Have you tried clearing the cookies on the iPad then starting again?
    1. Have you tried to Google the answer?
    2. If you were in the other person's shoes, how would you react?
    3. Do you want a quick answer or better understanding?

Just on the offchance this helps... one thing I've noticed about MSE, which is unusual I think, is that the user names are case-sensitive.

So if my user name is 'Jivesinger', but I attempt to login as 'jivesinger', it rejects my login attempt.

Passwords are usually case-sensitive, but as I know plenty of other systems where the user name can be upper-case or lower-case without making a difference. However it does matter here.

Jivesinger, true. Also, Wheezy may want to check that their iPad isn't trying to autocorrect their username.

Go to Settings, then General, then Software Update. After a few seconds it will either tell you to update or say...
iOS7.0.4 Your software is up to date.

It's working fine for me on an iPad Air (and worked fine on my iPad 2), so don't give up, it should work fine on an iPad.

I'm typing this on an iPad 2, without any issues. Sorry, but you need to describe more precisely what you're doing and what the response from the website is. Telling us that something 'harks back to' doesn't tell us what's going on
