Travel Around Paris

Hi PPl,

Off to paris on sunday and am just looking at the transport info. We will need to get into the centre of paris on sunday when we arrive and have some kind of pass to get around paris and to get to disneyworld until friday morning when we will return back to the airport.

Looking on the french transport site, rapt.fr, entering into the english part of the site it says there is a Paris visits card, this however is only valid for 5 days (we will need 6).

However, when i enter the french part of the site it mentions an "orange card" which is valid for 7 days.

Does anyone know if visitors are elligable to get an "orange card" and if they have the same benifts and the paris visit card , i.e can use the same transportation systems e.g metro, train etc...

Any help at all would be great!

hope some one can help

Cheer
Cheers Petchy

the orange card is like the weekly tube pass in London. You will need a photo etc... depending which zone you buy you can on all the tubes/trains/RER/buses etc...so if you all have spare photos i can't see why you can't buy the orange cards...

Check out this site for info on Paris, as well as quite a few other european cities etc. Used a lot of his tips when travelling around Germany and haven't been disappointed yet. Very knowledgeable.Check out -

If you are going into Paris for the day just get a return from Disneyland to Paris and buy a Mobilis ticket (zones 1 & 2 will be sufficient for sight-seeing) you can use it on the buses and metro,if I remember correctly the ticket costs E4.50 cheaper than a tourist day ticket, it is what the locals buy. You must also ride the Montmartrebus - an excellent sight-seeing circular bus route that takes in all the sights of the Montmartre District - worth the price of the bus ticket alone.
