Vanish carpet cleaner bleached / turned my carpet orange

I have tried to use vanish to clean a carpet stain, it has turned the carpet an orange/peachy colour. I have since read online that it can bleach carpets with wool - I rent my flat and have no idea what the carpet is made of but guess perhaps wool. Is there anything that can help or is it too late? Will it fade?

hence why it always tells you to try on an inconspicious area firstI'm only here while I wait for Corrie to start.
You get no BS from me & if I think you are wrong I WILL tell you.0 -
I don't think the mark will fade, as fading means getting lighter and bleaching has already removed colour.0

I'd used it before on the same carpet without a problem. The stain is actually darker than the carpet which is why I hoped it might lighten. It's an orange tone which is quite a lot darker than the carpets. Perhaps another product could gently lighten the spot?0
