Hi, I made the first purchase on my tesco 0% purchase credit card...

Its showing my minimum payment to be 0 and by the 31 dec..

I made an order on the New Look website on the 28 and I just checked my online account and have noticed it says this

Current Balance: £46.99

and then it says what day I purchased the items and description as new look.... then it has 2 headers... 1 as Debit and one as Credit....

Description Debit Credit
NEW LOOK £46.99

It's listed underneath the debit heading why is this??? As it is a 0% purchase card for 16 months I thought I would have that amount of time to clear, it PLEASE HELP!

It's showing as a debit because that is what you spent. Your statement will tell you your min payment.

Thank you very much, sorry for newbie question! wasn't sure as it said a balance but no minimum payment yet, so wasn't sure if I had to pay it straight away...

I was wondering what an estimated minimum payment would be for £1300 (flights) on to my credit card? How much would I roughly pay per month on the tesco credit card? (on 0%)

The minimum payment calculation is shown in both your summary box and T&Cs.

If you're new to credit cards I'd suggest reading at least the summary box, and preferably the T&Cs too.

This is one of the advantages of a credit card, if you know your statement date and pay the balance in full.

Say your statement date is the 3rd of each month.

    Balance £0 2 February.

    Purchase of £500 2nd February.

Balance £0 on 3rd February statement, so no payment required.

Balance £500 on 3rd March statement and you have until mid-late March to pay it off with no interest.

I.E you can get roughly 50 days interest free.

The only thing to remember is you must start with a zero balance.
