I have only ever charged my Tom Tom by connecting to my computer with the USB socket. Any other way you could ruin the sat nav.

If its a usb charger it will be 5 Volts. The only problem may be a lower amp output which will result in longer charging times. I charge mine with a universal usb charger without problem.0

You can use any microUSB charger, don't worry about TomTom saying you need to use their overpriced cable.poppy100

Probably the other way around. The S2 charger puts out approx 1 amp, Double what the PC USB ports supply.Censorship Reigns Supreme in Troll City...0
