Getmcafee.com

Is this a scam website? The price for the antivirus software is half price of that on the main Mcafee website?
Has anybody used the getmcafee website?

Cant say if its a legit site but why Mcafee ?

Why not free Anti Virus like Avast ?
  • DCFC79 - thanks for the advice.
I am a bit wary of free antivirus - does it really cover your devices securely, i.e. laptops, mobiles etc

I can be known to peruse the "darker" shades of the internet at times. I have never had an infection on any of my PCs. I have used Avast free for years.

Make of that what you will. :)

    Why McaCrap?

It slowed my computer and was useless

Another vote for Avast, just moved from AVG and it's a fantastic AV.

McAfee is awful would never touch it with a barge pole.

Urgh it's worse than nearly all the rest...I'd rather use any other antivirus than McAfee,,,,

Anyway, it's a supposed authorized reseller. I'd avoid this retailer whatever they were selling.

Avast covers mobiles, laptops, have a read of the "what security do you use " thread. You can get kaspersky with a barclays bank account.
