These are quite expensive although maybe OS as in design - but would you say they were worth the money? I've heard a few people raving about them but they are not cheap and I'm not sure.

Ive bought oil burners at charity shops for £1-2 which I find great. Just an egg cup of water in the top with 3 drops of an essential oil, then stick a lit tea light underneath and it goes for hours.0

if you have a TK Maxx near you there's bound to be some there, hopefully further reduced since Christmas, to give you an idea if they are for you. Also, if you Google home made diffuser you get lots of ideas, this is just one example:

Thanks for that - I've got loads of essential oils left from when I did soap and this would be a good way to use them.0

I have one from Next and it's not very good, was only a fiver but I wouldn't buy again. I'd stick to an oil burner as dandy-candy says......that way you choose the fragrance you like and also they are useful to have in if there's illness in the house. Just keep some tea tree oil and/or lavender as they purify the air. Bergamot is my favourite!0

ok will look for oil burners on ebay next, thanks!0

I quite like them in small enclosed spaces such as the downstairs loo, for bigger areas a candle or oil burner gives more fragrance.0

We have one room they work in...its our room prone to being a little on the damp side. My guess is that has something to do with it.
Essential oils in a small bowl of water on a radiator will work as well as a special burner if you don't want one of those. I've even been known to put a dry bit of Cotton wool with essential oil lr a scent i like on the radiator.
No radiators that work here,:(0 -
I have had one from Yankee for 4 years in our living room and still get a wiff from it, although it looks quite dry!
Why do these firms stop making various fragrances just as you find one you love? I absolutely adored Yankee's Sage and Citrus, but they stopped it and I've never been able to find one to compare.I believe that friends are quiet angels

I use the Yankee ones in all of the bathrooms at home except the ensuite because I find the smell too much in the bedroom. They are great because unlike tarts or candles (my other loves) they can just be ignored2014 20p savers club #2 I've given up trying to keep track of how much that pig eats!
