I haven't run encrave today, but in the past, if you have no ticks on the left, sometimes this means it has bugged and you should just refresh the page or open the page again from discover>encrave.

Make sure if you don't keep the window active that you hover your cursor over the video and ctrl+tab out or the videos will stop running.

I couldn't get it to work yesterday. This morning it will only work if I keep knocking the cursor and then the ticks fill up. If I don't keep the page 'active' it plays the entire video instead of the shortened preview

The alt+t tabbing out technique sometimes only works on Chrome too, if you don't want to have that page active and aren't using Chrome, try switching.

I used to use Firefox with Encrave and it didn't work out very well.
