Recommendations for Holiday in Greece (thinking of Crete)

Options
Hi guys and girls

Wife 15 month brat:D and I are looking to go on holiday to Greece (We heard Crete was nice) on or about 20 July for about 10 nights.

1. Can anyone advise if Crete would be a sensible option with an infant and if so any recommendations for locations and child friendly hotels/resorts.

2. Can anyone advise of where to look my budget is approx £1000 but may be able to stretch to a little more. Looking to leave from a London airport.

Almyrida on Crete is great, heading there again a week on Tuesday for a break. Basically ignored by most UK tour ops so lots of german/scandi tourists and no English idiots to !!!! it up. The shallowest beach you can imagine and sunsets to make you weep.

www.olympicholidays.co.uk have some real bargains they have best flights from gatwick (unfortunatly many are during the night)
but one total price self catering gregory apts is £516 for a fortnight in a 1 bed apartment- very handy when an infant is around!

    im tempted!

your right some very good bargains compared to other sites I have checked. Will book from here. Ive seen 11 nights from 19th July from gatwick to Heraklion. This is ideal for us.

    Thanks

skiathos, tiny beautiful greek island, perfect for small children in any area, not overly commercialised, good bus route to explore all areas, safe beaches
Day flights. fisrt choice and thompson have good deals, july falls into late deal catagory now and first choice promise to price match.

Night flights are a big no with kids, when you are required to leave your accom at noon and not leave resort for another 8 or 10 hours you will pay anything to be on your way home, definately consider this when choosing and pay the extra up front for a day flight.
