It Must Be Global Warming .........

January & March were a lot higher for my electricity (we are all electric) as it was very cold but we've really done well since August. Our overall consumption for 2013 is 9.2% lower than 2012. We have tried to be a bit careful but the very mild winter so far has helped a lot.
So, if its Global Warming, lets have some more as it's saving me moneyNever under estimate the power of stupid people in large numbers0 -
My consumption is down also, but all things being equal it will even itself out, it usually does. It goes without saying that Winter has just begun, so potentially 3 months of cold weather to come yet - although I must admit it does seem to be about milder air and flooding at the moment!0

My last few months have been lower than the same months a year earlier. However, my 2013 gas usage (heating, hot water and hob) is just 1% down on 2012. Electricity is up by 6%, but I put that down to a more powerful electric shower we installed.
Already put some LED lights in place of low voltage halogens, as an experiment, and am planning on doing more this year now you can pick up LED bulbs for a reasonable price. Won't have a huge impact, but should reduce running costs slightly as I plan to replace 9 heavily used 20W halogens with 3W LEDs.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the In My Home MoneySaving, Energy and Techie Stuff boards.
