Yesterday I got a parking charge notice at the now infamous lamorna cove car park, Cornwall...
Unfortunately i wasn't aware of its fame until after the ticket. I wasn't the driver
Any advice ?

Well, you'd think that the fact that they can't say when the alleged transgression occurred would be in your favour.
Or you could just read up on the "READ THIS FIRST" sticky and follow what it says there.0 -
You do need to have a good understanding about what all this stuff is about. We recommend all newbies to read, what is, the most comprehensive advisory you will find anywhere on line. It has been painstakingly drafted by Coupon-mad who is one of the foremost on-line Private Parking Experts.

But as an initial 'dipping of your toe in the water' exercise you might want to start with the link in the sticky to my 'Walk Through' which will provide a quick overview of most things. Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .
I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.

Thanks to this forum, I have had the parking notice voided...
Advice to all on the basis of this is to read this forum and spend some hours doing your research...
I found that the time and date stamp on the photographic evidence on the fine payment website was inaccurate by 3 hours....
Below is a copy of my email I sent to the payment website to get it voided....
Avoid lamorna cove like the plague !!!
Dear sir,
Further to my below email I wish to remind the operator that he is obliged to comply with the British parking association codes of practice.
20.5 When issuing a parking charge notice you may use photographs as evidence that a vehicle was parked in an unauthorised way.The photographs must refer to and confirm the incident which you claim was unauthorised.A date and time stamp should be included on the photograph. All photographs used for evidence should be clear and legible and must not be retouched or digitally altered.
You have failed to demonstrate an infringement in these circumstances and I would wish to remind you of the fact that should you obtain data from DVLA having not complied with codes of practice this would constitute a serious breach for which I would seek legal redress separately.
Under these circumstances, I reserve my right not to identify the driver and ask that you cancel the PCN immediately or, if you refuse to do so, send me a POPLA code in order that I may make my representations there.0 -
Well done, how did you find out about the 3 hours error and what had 'they' done?PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

The ticket said that there was photographic evidence...
I went onto the website printed on the back of the ticket where you pay the fee.
This directed you to the evidence in relatin to my ticket which had 4 images, all with a time and date stamp.
The time and date stamp didn't mirror the time of issue of the ticket so I challenged via email without revealing my details forbidding them to obtain my details via DVLA as this would constitute a breach of guidelines as in my email above.
I got the email back within 3 days withdrawing the ticket.
If you research the British parking association guidelines and also popla guidelines it shows that in order to access registered keeper details strict guidelines must be followed.0 -
Well done, perfectly handled!PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
