Does anyone use Travelodge style hotels in France?
Are there any in Paris?
If so, can anyone recommend one in a safe area (just me and my12 year old daughter going) with parking but easy transport to the main attractions?

Try looking at Campanile or F1 Hotels. Anywhere on the outskirts of Paris you will be able to use the Metro to get into the city very easily. I don't know which areas are "safe" but advise you check out reviews on Tripadvisor before booking0

Have you looked on booking.com? We used it to book an overnight stay in France last year and I am just sussing out this years. It is good as there are lots of reviews so you get a fair idea of the hotel/location.
Eta we just use it for getting to our holiday accomodation.0 -

i've stayed in both Ibis and Premier Classe in France (not in Paris itself, but not far away). If you sign up to the accorhotels membership you get discount offers too. Both chains are fine, if basic, hotel rooms.0

We use http://www.hotel-bb.com/en/home.htm cheap and good.0

I'd also recommend the Accor group. Ibis, Etap (or 'Ibis Budget' as I think it's called now!), Mercure and Novotel all fine (although the recommendation of the use of Booking.com is also a good one).
In terms of 'safe' areas: on the whole I'd say that Paris is a very safe city and that you don't need to worry. I'm less familiar with the 10th, 18th, 19th and 20th, but apart from the 20th I'd say I've visited every single district (I've worked in Paris for the past 5 years) and I've never had any reason to worry, ever. Ironically, despite what your instinct may tell you, you are probably best off staying away from the most touristy areas of Paris, as this is always going to be where there are more pickpockets etc.
You'll have a lovely time wherever you stayLet me know if you need any more advice

Yep, I'm with Angelil, any of the Accor group will be clean and relaible.
I would use their own website https://www.accorhotels.com, if you put in your area it will show you all of their brands in the area you are going. By all means check on booking.com but they usually have the best price on their own site.Accept your past without regret, handle your present with confidence and face your future without fear0 -
.hotelF1 Paris Porte de Châtillon. Easiest one to get to with parking , but I can't remember if it's free, and you use the nearby metro to get into paris. £28 for a double room.
Just off the peripherique signposted Porte de chatillon so easy to navigate.
Other hotels in this chain have triple rooms also , bunk bed with double bed below and single bunk above.

Thanks all, I'll check them out.0
