Hi everyone,

I'm having a huge issue with Play.com.

I made an order and changed my address, but they have sent items to my old address. They claim the following:

"the new address was added along with the new card details just before checkout. I can see that it was not set as the default delivery address at that point because the order was placed a few seconds after the address was added. Your order would have reverted to your original default delivery address . . . you changed your BILLING address along with CARD DETAILS around 18 (or less) seconds before pressing "confirm order" but it seems that your order has reverted to the old delivery address as it was initially selected. You may have selected the "default delivery address" option whilst adding this new address information but this would not update whilst on the payment screen and it would have been your responsibility to ensure that the correct one was selected".

I know for sure I changed it - why would I change the billing address. If you go to the screen it has an easy option for 'change address.'

I can't see how they've got this wrong when I made the simple change, but I have no way of proving it.

Is there anything I can do, it's basically my word against them and they're point-blank refusing to help and saying it's my fault! I've done countless online orders since moving 6 months ago and have always changed my address accordingly, this was no different but they're laying the blame with me - I'm £25 out of pocket and have nothing to show for my purchases.

    What did the screen state when you clicked on the confirm order button on the order confirmation screen? And can you prove it? What does your order confirmation email state?

    If it shows the wrong address on your conformation email then you haven't got much of a leg to stand on.....
