Advice on which laptop please

Hi,

I'm in the market for a laptop for my mum who isn't particularly tech savvy. She would mostly use it for internet, watching videos, no gaming. It's important that it is reliable.

Have narrowed my options down to the HP Pavilion 15-n096ea at Currys for £399 and the Lenovo G505s at John Lewis for £399. I'm leaning towards the Lenova due the SSD hybrid and the 2 year JL guarantee but was wondering if anyone can offer their advice or a better alternative for the money.

Being reliable is probably the most important aspect.

Have you considered an iPad? Just saying, but they are much easier for elders to use
