Evening all, and happy Friday night!
A few NSD's to declare, taking me up to 15, just 1 off target, which I'm expecting to get tomorrow.

It's been a tough week at school. The kids have been hard work and I've been battling with illness all week. A sore throat started on Sunday night, which lasted a few days, then has morphed into a reasonably heavy cold. Not fun. Luckily, with me, colds tend to confine themselves to my nose. I rarely get the aches/tiredness with them that I know other people do get.

Plans for this evening are a bit of a putter round the internet, then watch the Jamie Oliver prog at 8, with a glass of wine, then head to bed with the iPad.

  • A spendy day for me today because it was my 6-weekly haircut (£22) plus I had to buy some bits and bobs (£2.50 for fruit and veg from the market).

Whilst I was in town (for the first time since 23rd December!) I popped into Iceland for 2kg of oven chips (33% extra free) and some Olay moisturiser (200 mls of spf 15 for £4.97 in the Superdrug 'better-than-half-price-sale, which came at just right time because I finished the very last drop of my moisturiser in the week before Christmas, and have been gradually getting wrinklier by the day every since!).

Altogether I spent £33 in total, meaning I have £42 to last me until next Friday, half of which will go on petrol for getting to work next week...

Sorry to hear about the kids flubbery, I guess the post-Xmas excitement has worn off, and it feels like ages for them until half term.

No more NSD here, picked up a few bits yesterday (did I post then? I really don't remember) but managed mainly to stick to my list....but now we're treating ourselves to a takeaway instead of planned HM pizza :o I don't think we've had one since last may, in fact it's been so long some of what we wanted has been taken off the menu. Also testing ourselves to a box office film for OH b'day. Incidentally, he's chuffed with his presents :A

Not sure if tomorrow will be a NSD as I need to take some bits back and that may result in some other purchases :o pay day today but belt being tightened after this weekend. Thinking of seeing how i might get on if I take cash out and try and do without my cards for the month. Not sure if it will change my spending or not, it didn't really help when I last tried it as it was a pain when I wanted to order things that were cheaper online.
