Can I get a refund ?

Made a sudden purchase of a laptop after my boyfriend finished with me but now want the money back as was a spare of the moment panic buy, am I entitled to a refund ?

Depends on how you purchased it, if Online/by phone then DSR gives you the right to return, if you purchased it in store then its purely down to the store's returns policy but i would suspect very unlikely0

If you have bought it a week ago even the DSR's probably wouldn't apply now, You have no right to a refund at all if you bought from a shop.
It is now second hand, try ebay if you really don't want it.make the most of it, we are only here for the weekend.

If you bought online you should be able to DSR as xmas and Boxing Day don't count as working days so you'll probably be within the 7 days allowed.0

Even without Christmas and boxing day OP would have 10 days to cancel (not return) it. That would be 7 working days starting tge day after delivery
However I suspect it was bought in store because I wouldn't expect an online order placed a week ago to be arriving very quickly given Christmas and Boxing Day.0 -
