How much to keep

Hi, I have a 'good' credit rating according to Experian but I want to try to improve it. I have a credit card with a limit of 11 grand but only have 600 spent on it. Is this bad for my rating? Should I reduce the limit available? Thanks to anyone who can help :)

This Q&A should give you a little more guidance on card balances, limits and credit scores.

  • I think the short answer linked above is 'keep £11k, use only £2,500'. I'd love to know how you got it that high though; I imagine a good job, diligence and a property helped.
